EngenderHealth (2002)
Volume 1: Manual (working draft)
Volume 2: Handouts (working draft)
EngenderHealth developed this training manual to help increase providers' comfort in addressing sensitive issues related to sexuality, gender, and HIV/AIDS and to clarify the values and overcome the biases necessary to do so. This two-volume set (manual and handouts) features participatory exercises on sexuality and gender; HIV/STI transmission, prevention, and dual protection; integrated counseling skills; and other trainers' resources. It is designed primarily for training of health care providers who offer counseling services, but the exercises can be used with a wide range of individuals who work in sexual and reproductive health, including all levels of FP staff; health outreach workers; HIV/STI educators, counselors, and frontline staff; and members of community groups.

The Operations Evaluation Department (OED) at the World Bank, in partnership with the Faculty of Public Affairs and Management at Carleton University, launched the International Program for Development Evaluation (IPDET) in 2001. This four-week program is offered annually and seeks to provide quality professional development for the evaluation community working within developing contexts.
IPDET was designed to meet the needs of evaluation and audit units of many different types of organizations involved in development work. This comprehensive international program is designed to help a range of development specialists conduct significant evaluations of development interventions at the project, program, and policy levels. It is both an educational experience and an opportunity to advance career objectives. The twelve modules are from the two-week core course, which aims to build skills and knowledge required for high-quality development evaluation. This course is designed especially for those with little prior evaluation experience or for those wanting a refresher course.

Family Health International (2004)
Download Resource
The Contraceptive Technology and Reproductive Health Series modules are designed to meet the continuing educational needs of family planning practitioners, program managers, and policymakers in resource-constrained settings by providing information on contraceptive technology and reproductive health. The purpose of this presentation is to familiarize family planning providers with information on intrauterine devices (IUDs). The first section of this module provides an overview of IUDs while the second section focuses on client screening and counseling. Finally, the third section covers insertion guidelines and managerial concerns associated with providing IUDs. For programmatic and availability reasons, this module refers mostly to copper IUDs, in particular to the TCu-380A IUD.
