As part of the Capacity Project’s global leadership in human resources information systems (HRIS) strengthening, HRIS team leader Dykki Settle presented an overview of the Project’s approach and demonstrated the Project’s iHRIS software suite at the second annual Asia-Pacific Action Alliance for Human Resources for Health (AAAH) Conference in Beijing (October 12-14). The conference was attended by human resources for health (HRH) leaders from 15 member countries as well as other presenting countries and representatives from WHO and the World Bank. The Capacity Project’s presentation and software demonstration were well received, and a number of countries expressed interest in HRIS strengthening. The AAAH secretariat communicated its desire to continue collaborating with the Project to support the organization’s members on HRH issues, share knowledge and strengthen HRIS and strategic use of information.
