This is a well commended effort on the part of WAHO. I hope that other West Afican countries will buy into this laudable project for their health regulatory bodies.
The support given by Capacity plus to actualise this global vision is well appreciated and applauded. Its contribution towards the development of Human Resources for Health in West Africa and beyond cannot be under-estimated.

I really like the thought of pursuing integration points between HRIS and OpenMRS. While OpenMRS offers hope to Kenyan health facilities for robust health record management system, HRIS addresses the other aspect of human capital management that has been said to be the other big challenge with health systems in Kenya.

Integration of HRIS and OpenMRS wrt is very welcome, especially if Kenyan developers participate directly in developing the related modules / extensions - as out contribution to the OpenSource movement.

Following a recent program and STTA debrief meeting at USAID/Uganda on Friday, July 16, 2010, the USAID/Uganda Health Team Leader, Megan Rhodes, informed us that the Mission Director, David Eckerson, has keen interest in encouraging more projects to use interns, and in talking to the UCP interns about their experience. The Mission Director would like to arrange for a lunch meeting with the Interns at the Embassy to hear more about their experiences sometime in September. We are delighted of this development as it will further enhance our visibility and impact within the mission hierarchy in Uganda. Kudos to Vincent, our Country Director, and his HRIS team in Uganda.
