Learning for Performance Training Expanded in Mali Print

Following the Capacity Project’s positive evaluation of the implementation of training modules in Mali using the Project’s Learning for Performance approach, faculty members at the Ecole des Infirmiers de Gao have increased their scope of training.

After recent successes using Learning for Performance to train midwives and nurse obstetricians in new reproductive health and child survival modules, the nursing school’s faculty expanded training to a new cadre in December. They trained 45 public health nurses in the modules during two separate two-week intensive sessions.

The Capacity Project continues to help strengthen the school’s capacity to deliver quality training in reproductive health and child survival. Learning for Performance: A Guide and Toolkit for Health Worker Training and Education Programs is available on the Project’s website in English, French and Spanish.
